The Animetrics booth was a hit at the 2004 Biometrics Consortium Conference held September 20-22nd at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, Arlington, VA. This years’ conference was well attended, including 75 exhibitors and over 1,000 participants. Featured speakers represented the Department of Homeland Security and Department of the Navy and Central Intelligence. There was excellent representation of industry attendees including federal government agencies, prime contractors and major corporations.
Animetrics captured crowds with its 3D facial imaging demonstration which included taking real-time photos of booth visitors and then generating accurate 3D geometries of their faces. Visitors were intrigued with the opportunity to view the 3D images of themselves from varying angles. Thus, the demonstration drew constant traffic at the Animetrics booth throughout the three day conference. It was clear that Animetrics 3D imaging is leading technology in the facial recognition market.
The quality of the conference participants and exhibitors emphasized the importance of biometrics and the acceptance of facial recognition technology for Homeland Defense and security applications.
