A Brief History
Animetrics was founded in 2003 with a vision for developing solutions to
fundamental problems in facial identification systems. Post-9/11, Government
and facial identification providers have been scrambling to provide effective
systems which effectively address security needs at airports, international
points of entry, and public venues.
Animetrics has developed technologies which allow for the comprehension of
critical 3D information in conventional photographic and video imagery. This
will allow for unprecedented flexibility and accuracy in the implementation of
facial identification systems.
Based in beautiful Jackson, New Hampshire, in the shadow of Mt. Washington surrounded
by endless four season recreation, the headquarters and development team are creating
the innovation of the future. Animetrics is comprised of scientists and scientific
and graphic programmers lead by a seasoned management team:

Paul Schuepp
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Schuepp has had 30 years experience in Information Technology and Telecom, primarily
in sales and business development, where he grew business at Snowshore Networks, Lucent,
Ascend Communications, Stratus Computer and IBM.
Dr. Michael I. Miller
Chief Scientist
Dr. Miller is Director of Imaging Science at Johns Hopkins University.
He is a recognized leader and pioneer in areas of image understanding,
pattern theory, computer vision, medical imaging, and computational neuroscience.
He helped create the field of Computational Anatomy.
Dr. Guoqiang "Gary" Zang
Senior Scientific Programmer
Dr. Zang joined Animetrics in February 2004 after
completing his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
from John Hopkins University. Gary's dissertation
research was on the
fundamental limitations in control system design.
He received his MS in Computer Science and his
MS in Applied Math from the University of Minnesota,
and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Shandong University,
China.
William Hoffman
Project and Product Development Manager
Mr. Hoffman is responsible for day-to-day operations and for overseeing all
development work and systems� quality assurance. Hoffman has played integral roles
at two other technology startups.
